Sky Visit to GV

While Eric was on work trip to San Diego, Aub and Sky visited grandparents in Grass Valley. We learned from the previous such four-day visit that Sky does not sit still--in any way. She changes daily. She left a different person from when she arrived. Last time, rolling over was her new gig. This time, it was more an attitude. She seemed to be saying that she's no longer a baby and wants to stand--or at least sit up. She spent more time sitting in her Bumbo or being held upright, her legs supporting her, even though she couldn't achieve the position on her own. Thus the purchase of the jumper. It seemed the natural projection of her growth. One other big difference is Tummy Time. A month ago, she hated being on her belly. This time, one of our best games involved my pulling her on her belly across the bed and over the side. She loved it. She could also roll over as well as "inch-worm" (using her head) to get around. It won't be long now--a bicycle.

Sky Jump

Skylar's 4-day visit at the end of February, just before she turns 6 months, was a revelation. She's growing: she's already tall and she's a baby. She's learning: she seems aware of everything, attentive, quick. She really seemed to want to get out of the lie-there-and-play-like-a-baby mode and stand. Now she has her new environment--the Rainforest Jumperoo.
